The AMAZING RACE!!!

Never watched the Amazing Race before? I hadn't four days ago and now I've seen a good portion of both Seasons 13 and 14.

Check this out to see free episodes: http://www.cbs.com/primetime/amazing_race/

Jacob and I are fans of movies and watching.. stuff. Because we don't have a TV, we try to find our favorite shows (i.e. No Reservations, Bizarre Foods, Man Vs. Wild, Ugly Betty, etc.) on the internet. Jacob mentioned Amazing Race and now we are addicted (Yes, we ran home from the CES fireside yesterday to watch the newest episode, we figure we are following Bednars counsel by watching it together, creating that valuable relationship of being in one anothers company while having in depth discussions about the show during commercial break).

Mel and Mike were originally my favorite, but they were recently kicked off. Mike is the writer of School of Rock so naturally, he was very entertaining. I just liked that they were competitive, but took time to enjoy the places they visited.

OUt of the last three, I'm really hoping the Asians win. Even though Margie and Luke are adorable, especially when Luke says "mama", (I think it's the cutest thing I've ever heard in my entire life) when Luke body checks someone into the clue box, it's not so cute. I just feel that the Asians deserve it the most. I can't believe that Jennifer took that 1 Million dollar tinkle in the bottom four (see what I mean, you've just got to watch it). This show really makes you consider what you'd do and what you wouldn't, I can honestly say I would have never done that bungee jump and I would have gotten lost in every country that we had to drive in. Jacob and I also must have ice cream and/or popcorn at all times of watching the Amazing Race so if I've gained a few next time you see me, there you go.

ATTENTION!!!

SO, it has come to my attention that to be a good mom or to further my goal of becoming as Anthony Bourdain, you have to write and you have to have a blog. When I considered what in the world I could blog about, I first came up empty, embarrasingly empty. And besides, I'm not a writer, my spelling stinks, and if this were hand written, you would probably think someone spilled baby poos on the page. Then it occured to me (with a little inspiration from a likable and exampliary sibling) if anything, this will be for my amusement and for your reading pleasure. Just consider it's contents as coming straight from my heart and completely worthless.

Recently, as in 18 days ago, I was married to my once good friend, now best of friends, Jacob. We've been happily married and as other married couples stand up in our ward and pronounce that marraige is hard, we have nothing to complain about. Happily married is an understatement. My sister Rikki is a photographiotic genius and here is a sampling of some of my favs. Apparently there are 500 more to sort through, but we'll save that for our trip down to Utah in 5 weeks!

He is mighty fine if I may say so myself. I couldn't have asked for a better dress, my favorite story during the reception (and one that people begged me to tell after hearing the rumors) was about Dani and her genius. Sewing a dress for someone you've never met and sizing it the night before the wedding and having it fit perfectly is truly amazing. She should start a business, this is a one of a kind and it's alllll mine (yes, I am the youngest and therefore allowed to sound that selfish).

Two of my favorite touches from the reception were the lights and the cupcake toppers. The lights made for the most beautiful evening and many people have reported that it's the nicest reception they've ever been to. The toppers meant a lot, it's those little personal touches that let you know that you are known and that you're loved (someone wrote that exact thing as a comment under this picture on Rikki's facebook and it sounded like the type of thing I should say). Thank you Lisa, Larissa, Layna, RIkki, Dani, and Dacia for your help with everything. Not sure how it would have turned out without them...
