The Porta-fort

Allison, Louie, and I have sure been enjoying our time together. We are so blessed to be able to work together. I don't understand how other couples live their lives apart. I get to be with Allison almost 24/7. So what do we do with all of that time together? We go on lots of bike rides, spend hours playing at the park, and today we made Louie a porta-fort.

She may appear pretty happy in these pictures, but she sure didn't stay happy for long. The appeal quickly turned into realization that she was trapped. We tried to get her to chase us around in her box but she refused to take a single step. Allison, being the good mom that she is, decided that she would try to ease Louie's apprehensions by being an example.

Surprisingly Louie wasn't nearly as terrified as she should have been by this creepy creature. Now Allison permanently has a box stuck on her head.

Hey there, I know it's been about a century since we last posted, but we have an excuse. What might that be? Check it out here. Tell us what you think and schedule your trip today.

Little Babe

Yogurt's her favorite food.

The Climber

Just a few pictures of Louie enjoying her favorite hobby: mountain climbing. The higher the obstacle to climb, the happier she is.

Louie roars like a wild animal all the time. We think she may be part raptor.

The above might be my favorite picture of Louie ever.

Louie girl

Louie's favorite trick is squirting her milk across the room. I don't know why she does this, but at least once a day we will find her squeezing her bottle to make it squirt. Usually we find her looking like this afterward.

Maybe she's just trying a milk bath?

Oh yeah, I guess it's worth mentioning publicly: we're moving to Florida. We will leave this sad little Rexburgia February 18th. We are only taking what will fit in our little Sturd-man, so the majority of our time is spent selling things. You can see what's for sale at realprettythangsandcrap.blogspot.com. Allison posts 10 new things everyday. We've already sold a lot (or a crapload as Allison likes to say), but until we only have the bare necessities left we will continue to sell. Allison even put a price on Louie's head. I will start to worry when she posts me for sale.

Woot Woot!!

I'M GRADUATING!!! Surprise surprise, I talked to my adviser today about some questions I had regarding my grad plan and she worked it out so I can graduate TODAY! I thought I had just one more class to take next semester, but nope we made a custom cluster for my emphasis and just hacked that class right out of my plan. I don't think I'll miss it.

Oh, by the way you won't see me sporting any caps or gowns, grad announcements or grad flowers, my name won't be in the commencement program, and I most certainly won't be getting any honors, but my diploma will arrive in the mail sometime next month. Graduation is Friday. I won't be attending because I think we're going to be throwing our own little party. Just me, Alli, and Louie.

Gingerbread fun

To make our spirits bright Alli and I created this beautiful gingerbread house last night. Those of you who know us well know that we are not creative people. I think this made the decorating even more fun. Neither of us had ever decorated a gingerbread house before and I wouldn't be surprised if this was the last time we chose to splurge on such a fancy treat.
I think the best touches are Alli's attempts at icicles from the roof and the drooping eyes above the frowning door.
Notice there are no pictures of the back of the house. That's because we kinda gave up and decided that doing the front was enough.
